Platinum motors & Trading Co Ltd is a sibling of the Samir Engineering and Trading Company Limited which was established in Ghana during 1960 by Mr. Khaled Karroum as a dealer in automotive tyres and accessories. It has, over the decades, built its brand and associated with reputed global brands under the direct management of his sons Mr. Nazem Karroum and Mr. Samir Karroum.

Samir Engineering has initiated a diversification strategy in the beginning of this century and over the last 15 years, Samir group of companies has successfully established its presence across five distinct verticals. Samir Engineering & Trading Co. Ltd., Quantum Petroleum Ltd., Platinum Motors Ltd., Platinum Tours & Travel Ltd. and Platinum Plantations Ltd. The mentioned verticals/divisions in Samir Group are all established in Ghana and is headed by a dynamic and forward-thinking Group CEO.
